Memory Wire Leather Bracelets – Video Tutorial

image_pdfimage_print

Tory and Candie Cooper are back in this video to demonstrate how to make simple bracelets using memory wire, leather, end caps and beads!Making bracelets with memory wire is one of the easiest way to make jewelry! Make sure to stop over to our Memory Wire Hot Category page to shop for memory wire, end caps, tools and leather with an inner hole that can be used with memory wire. Don’t forget to get some of our favorite beads to accompany your leather memory wire bracelet like glass beads, gemstones, TierraCast beads, Swarovski crystals and more.

Because memory wire comes pre-coiled, it will sustain and keep its shape. We personally like the Beadalon® Heavy Duty Memory Wire (WR00120/WR00121), which Tory and Candie use in the video. And most importantly, having the correct tools will help create your bracelets: Memory Wire Shears and Memory Wire Finishing Pliers

These pliers will help with looping the memory wire because wire itself is a thick and sturdy wire.

How do you design your memory bracelets? We would love to know!

  1. Great tutorial! I was hoping I could print the info above but there’s no option to do so. I would then have the item no’s for memory wire, etc. Perhaps that function could be added?

  2. Loved watching the memory wire tutorial video. Got some great tips! Thanks you! I wish you could have zoomed in for close-ups to show the different details you covered – as well as showing your finished bracelets.

  3. I have a couple of questions: Can you use bead caps instead of end caps? And also, it was mentioned that the Patina Vintaj paints can be used…will those work on leather? I thought they were specifically for metals. Thank you! Great tutorial!

    1. Hello Melanie.

Yes, you can use bead caps instead of end caps. You can see an example from our previous blog HERE.

Yes, you can use Vintaj Patina paints on leather. You can see how we used Patinas on Sizzix Leather in our previous blog HERE. It will paint nicely on leather cord also.
