Directions

Make a coiled loop at one end of the memory wire with Memory Wire Finishing Pliers.
Cut cork cord into 4 pieces, measured at about 4 inches.
Slide the following sections onto the memory wire:
a. End cap, cork piece and end cap.
b. Czech Bead, TWO 10mm wavy discs (one concave in and the other concave out). Repeat 5 more times (omitting the last 2 wavy discs).
c. TWO 6mm wavy disc (one concave in and the other concave out), THREE crystals, TWO 6mm wavy disc, THREE crystals, TWO 6mm wavy disc.
d. Repeat Step 3b.
e. End cap, cork piece, end cap, curve tube with loop, end cap, cork piece and end cap.
f. TWO 6mm wavy disc, THREE crystal beads and TWO 6mm wavy disc.
g. Czech Bead, TWO 10mm wavy discs (one concave in and the other concave out). Repeat 11 more times (omitting the last 2 wavy discs).
h. TWO 6mm wavy disc, THREE crystal beads and TWO 6mm wavy disc.
i. Curve tube with loop, end cap, cork piece and end cap.
Cut memory with Memory Wire Cutters leaving half an inch end. Coil and make a simple loop.

Purple Persian Tassel Earrings

Items used in earrings: A019617, Z011514, Z011522, Z007650, Z019427 & Z003693.

Open large jump ring, slide on both tassels and close jump ring.
Open small jump ring, slide through large jump ring in Step 1, and through eyepin loop. Close jump ring.
On the eyepin, slide on a Czech cat bead and make a simple loop.
Open loop you just made in Step 3, slide on earring loop and close loop.
Repeat all steps for other earring.

Stackable Stretch Czech Bead Bracelets

These bracelets are easy to make! Each bracelet is strung on and tied into one bracelet for fun stackable, arm candy fun.

What you’ll need:

.5mm Clear Elasticity (A021633)

TUTORIAL on tying Surgeon’s Knot

Items used in bracelets: A014097, A021634, A021914, A021930, A021929

Directions:

Cut a 10″ piece of elastic. Stretch elastic to loosen the elasticity.
Slide on the elastic the curve tube and 40 melon beads. (40 beads will loosely fit a 6.5″ wrist size. So add more melon beads to adjust to your sizing.)
Make a Surgeon’s Knot to your elastic ends. Gently stretch elastic to tighten the knot.
Cut off excess elastic and slide knot inside curve tube if you can.
Optional: You can add a small spot of Super New Glue or Hypo Cement to the knot.
Repeat for MORE bracelets!

Swingin’ Teardrop Earrings

Our simple and sweet tutorial today consists two of our favorite brands: TierraCast and Raven’s Journey. Create this easy pair of earrings today!

What you’ll need for earrings:

2 – TierraCast Teardrop Frame (TC01395)
TierraCast Front Loop Earrings (TC02297)
Raven’s Journey Pear Shaped Glass Beads (Item used in example A021843)
Headpin with Ball End (A019694)

Directions:

Slide a teardrop bead onto the headpin and make a simple loop.
Open loop you just made and slide through the under side of the hole loop on the TierraCast Teardrop Frame. Close loop.
Open loop of earwire and slide through the top side of the TierraCast Teardrop Frame. Close loop.
Repeat all steps for other earring.

Color & Pattern Samples

This pattern is certainly a versatile basic pattern to mixing up SuperDuo colors of your own choosing. Here are 4 different color ways and patterns you can use with this pattern using Cymbal Vourkoti components.

This first example uses SuperDuo beads with a Capri finish. The Capri finish has splotching of colors all around the SuperDuo bead, so when you bead stitch the, you get some lovely splotch of color without a….

Amethyst Fringe Earrings

Design these DIY earrings with Amethyst Czech Fire Polish beads and chain fringe.

Fringe is very much here to stay. We pulled these pretty pair from our February Birthstone trend, to give you easy directions to make a pair of your own.

What you’ll need:

4mm Czech Fire Polish Beads
CH01194 – Rollo Chain
A021468 – Bali Flower Spacer
A007659 – 1 Inch Eyepin
Earwire

Directions

Cut THREE pieces of chain at 2.5″ inches long, each. Make sure the amount of links are the same.
Open eyepin loop and slide on the middle link of a chain you cut in Step 1. Close eyepin loop.
Slide on the eyepin a 4mm Czech bead and make a simple loop.
Open Czech dangle loop and slide through a side hole of flower spacer. Close loop.
Repeat steps 2-4 TWO more times, adjacent to the previous Czech dangle.
Open earwire loop, slide through the opposite hole of the middle Czech dangle and close loop.
Repeat all steps for other earring.

Extra Heavy Duty Memory Wire Hoop Earrings – Tutorial

Make memory wire hoop earrings using the new Beadalon® Extra Heavy Duty Memory Wire. They’re so easy, you’ll find yourself making them over and over!

Hoop earrings have been a big fashion trend since the 1970’s. This pictorial shows how easy it is to make your own pair of hoop earrings with Czech beads. This tutorial was also demonstrated by So Vang during the 2018 Bead and Button show. Check out the video tutorial and blog. And when Candie Cooper was here, Tory and Candie did a Facebook LIVE video on this same tutorial. (Tutorial starts at 30 minutes)

What you’ll need:

Extra Heavy Duty Memory Wire (Silver/Gold/Rose Gold)
9×6 Czech Rondelle Beads

Tools you’ll need:

Memory Wire Finishing Pliers
Memory Wire Shears
4-in-1 Xuron Crimper or any Crimping Pliers

Tips to note when making your hoops. The Extra Heavy Duty Memory Wire is thick, so make sure you grasp tightly with the Finishing Pliers when you make your loops. AND make your loops at the base of your pliers. You’ll get a firmer grasp on the wire and lessen the tension and strain you will put on your Finishing Pliers. You can also make these hoops using other memory wires, it will work just the same.

Tutorial

Step 2: Cut two coils of memory wire with Memory Wire Shears. Cut an inch and a half off both coils. Make sure to cut them together for equal lengths.

Step 3: With Memory Wire Finishing Pliers, grasp the end of the memory wire at the base of your pliers.

Step 4: Roll pliers and make a loop outwards and perpendicular away from the memory wire.

Step 5: Use Crimper tool or serrated pliers to grasp loop in the notches to squeeze and close loop together.

Step 6: Slide on your memory wire, 9 Czech rondelles.

Step 7: Slide other end of the memory wire through your loop.

Step 8: Grasp that end with Memory Wire Finishing pliers.

Step 9: Roll loop towards you to make a simple loop. Use crimper to help close the loop tighter.

Step 10: Add your ear wire and repeat all steps for other earring.

Using Spacer Beads with New Czech Lentil Coins

Accentuate your designs and beads with spacer beads. Here was different ways to use spacer beads with our NEW Czech Lentil Coin beads.

One of the many reasons to using spacer beads in a design, is to create space between larger or more pronoun beads, hence the name. What it also does when space is added, is to alleviate the rubbing between beads. For larger beads or crystals, sometime when you lay then next to each other, the movement you put into wearing your design will eventually shift and rub. This may in time, chip or crack the beads. So adding spacer beads or smaller beads will lessen the rubbing.

Plus, it adds a pop of color, style and overall look with spacers. For this example, we’ll use these New Czech Lentil Coins.

Using Spacer Beads

Purple Passion Bracelet

Here’s a bracelet we made using spacer beads and Czech Lentil coin beads. It makes for a flat design, simple yet fun. Can you imagine the possibilities!

Items used in bracelet: FTBW0001, Z014445, SB00106, (2) TC01897, Z010740, A003577

Bracelet Instructions:

Cut a 9 inch piece of Soft Flex Wire.
Slide on a crimp tube and make a flat crimp to one end of flex wire.
Slide on clamshell and cover crimped tube. (Check out Clamshell Blog for more information)
Slide on a seed bead and Lentil Coin. Repeat sequence until you’ve used a full strand of Lentil Coins. You can add more until you’ve reached your desired length.
Add a seed bead to the end. Slide on a clamshell and another crimp tube.
Make a flat crimp to the crimp tube, close inside the clamshell.
Cut excess flex wire and close clamshell over the crimped tube.
Slide jump ring from Hook Clasp through loop of clamshell. Close clamshell loop.
Repeat step 8 to other end.
(Optional: you can substitute hook clasp for a clasp of your choice.)

Easy SuperDuo Bracelet – Tutorial

Czech SuperDuos are a versatile two-hole bead that can be easily made into a simple stitched bracelet. Check out this super simple tutorial using only Czech SuperDuos, size 11/0 Miyuki seed beads and beading thread.

If you know So Vang, you know that SuperDuos are her favorite two-hole bead to use when bead stitching. It creates fun angles and combines easily with her other favorites like Czech Honeycomb beads and DiamonDuos. But a simple basic way to make a bracelet using SuperDuos is combining it with size 11/0 and warping the strands around for this easy DIY bracelet.

Multi-Wrap Golden Bracelet

You can make a one wrap bracelet with this tutorial or make a multi-wrap. To make this bracelet, start out with your bracelet length (in this case we did 7 inches), multiply that by the amount of wraps we wanted and add another foot. This length will be the amount of beading thread you will need. In this case, we used about 4 feet. We strung 4 sections of 4 different color ways to make this bracelet. Each section measures 7 inches in length.

A quick tip, when you are finished sewing all the necessary beads, lay your piece straight and smooth out the piece so that everything lays flat before you tie off your ends.

Czech Ginko Two-Hole Scale Bracelet Tutorial

Scale Bracelet

This bracelet tutorial was inspired by Nela Kábelová’s (www.gianelle.beadforum.cz) pattern called Snake Skin Bracelet. We used her pattern and tweaked it slightly to add 4mm Swarovski® bicone crystals instead of 4mm round beads. And used 8/0 Miyuki seed beads in place of the seed beads she used. Don’t they look like fish scales? Dragon scales? Mermaid scales? They are a beautiful shape with lots of option for bead stitching.

Flower Burst Earrings with Czech Bellflowers – Tutorial

Dreaming about warmer weather? Let’s get a kickstart to spring weather with a pair of flower burst earrings designed with Czech Bellflower glass beads from Raven’s Journey® and white pearls from Swarovski®.

We’re experiencing some cold and snowy weather in Minnesota. Our piles of snow keep going up and we cross our fingers that our drive into work is a safe and uneventful one. So we are dreaming of spring weather and flowers! Here is a fun and simple pair of earrings donned with colorful Bellflowers from Raven’s Journey.

What you will need:

Flower Burst Earrings Tutorial

Step Two: Slide a 3mm pearl bead and Czech Bellflower (concave down) on a headpin. Make a simple loop. Make a total of 12 dangles.

Step Three: Open eyepin and slide on 3 bellflower dangles. Close loop.

Step Four: Slide on eyepin three bellflower dangles and 8mm pearl bead.

Step Five: Make a simple or wrapped loop.

Step Six: Open earwire and slide on whole flower dangle. Close loop. Repeat steps 3-6 for other earring.

Purple Velvet Earrings with Free Tutorial

Here’s a fun pair of earrings using TierraCast hoops, Czech rondelle beads and 24-Gauge wire. This easy step-by-step tutorial will make you want to scream with delight!

What you will need for Earrings:

2 – TierraCast 42mm Wire Hoops (TC02417)
Brass French hook Earrings (A009402)
24-Gauge Brass Wire (AW00050)
5×3 Czech Rondelles (Beads used in tutorial: A022126 & A0022128)

Tutorial

Step One: Cut a 2.5 feet of 24-Gauge wire.

Step Two: Coil wire end four times on hoop.

Step Three: Add a total of 22 beads on the wire.

Step Four: Coil 2-3 times to other side of hoop.

Step Five: Wrap wire in between the Czech bead.

Step Six: Continue wrapping wire in between each bead.

Step Seven: Coil wire twice around the hoop at the ends of bead to anchor the wire on the hoop. Coil back in between each bead in the other direction.

Step Eight: Continue wrapping wire in between each bead to create criss-crossing of the wires.

Step Nine: Coil wire to anchor the ends and cut excess wire. Open earwire and slide on hoop loop. Repeat all steps for other earrings.
