  1. May 19, 2018: I ordered all the components to replicate the deerskin lace bib connector. I’ve watched the video several times to learn how to do perfect lark’s head knots. Near the end of this video, Tory has just put on one of the large hole Dakota beads and she says” You can trim,” and the she says “You can even [garbled here] it, you can add different colors,” and she goes on to describe other things that can be done to work on the design of the necklace. It’s the garbled part that I cannot make out what she is saying. I would really like to know what her words are here that I cannot make out at all.

Also, in instructing how to make this necklace, Tory did not indicate how much deerskin lace was needed to replicate her same necklace. I only ordered a 2yd pkg and I ran out of lace right in the middle of building the necklace! I ordered 4 more pkgs this time. Also, the two of them discussed how Tory used a lace knot to attach the bib to the chain. I would have liked to see a close of up how that was done. She also didn’t mention how long the necklace would be when done, but I guess that is up to me and how much chain I use to complete the necklace. I love this necklace that I’m building and I plan on making more. Thanks in advance for helping me with Tory’s garbled word. I’ll probably be embarrassed at how easy the word is, but I’m just not able to make it out.

    1. Tory mentioned that “You can even them out” in that statement. Plus, she used a package and a half; however, depending on the length you want your fringe to be at, it may be less or more deerskin amount. To attach the chain to the bib connector, you just needs to add two overhand knots. And they’ve mentioned to add a drop of glue between the first and second knot to help secure it.

The sample is 24 inches, but yes, it is personal preference on how long you would want it.
