We’re starting June with one of our favorite style of DIY jewelry-making; memory wire wrap bracelets. Our DIY Wrap Pearl & Denim Blue Bracelet combines some of our favorite components; leather with hollow core, Swarovski pearls and tassels.
What you’ll need for bracelet:
- 5mm Camel Leather – CH00613 (3″)
- 8mm Crystal Pearlescent White Swarovski Pearl – SW01447 (4)
- 6mm Crystal Pearlescent White Swarovski Pearl – SW01446 (2)
- Swarovski® Crystal 8mm Denim Blue Briolette Bead – SW01464 (2)
- Bali Style Curve Bead – A021472 or Y014762
- 8/0 Galvanized Seed Bead – SB00106
- Bali Style Bead Cap – A021121
- Blue Tassel – Z004275
- Regular Bracelet Memory Wire – WR00107/ Large WR00109/ Extra Large WR00111
- TOOLS: Memory Wire Finishing Pliers and Memory Wire Cutter
Direction:
- Make a simple loop with Memory Wire Finishing Pliers.
- Slide the the following beads:
- 2 seed beads, 6mm pearl, seed bead, curve tube, 8mm pearl, seed bead, 8mm denim blue crystal, seed bead, 8mm pearl.
- end cap, 2.5″ of leather, bead cap
- 8mm pearl, seed bead, 8mm denim blue crystal, seed bead, 8mm pearl, curve tube, seed bead, 6mm pearl and 2 seed bead.
- Cut Memory Wire with a 1/2″ to 3/4″ end.
- Make a simple loop to that end with Memory Wire Finishing Pliers.

No, we don’t have a kit. But can certainly consider for future kit options. Thank you.
Are other photos available for this project? The first step says “make a simple loop.” I assume that’s to keep the beads from sliding off. Step 3 says “Cut Memory Wire with a 1/2″ to 3/4″ end.” That is confusing. Is that 1/2 – 3/4″ overlap around the wrist? Last step says “Make a simple loop.” Do the loops go up or down?

Hello Mary. We suggest to not cut your piece of memory wire, but to make a simple loop at one end to keep the beads from sliding off, yes that is correct. Once you have your beads and leather on, and pushed to the end of the memory wire where you made the loop, you will cut the memory wire and leaving 1/2 to 1/4 of an inch stub. This stub will be wrapped into a simple loop. Make your simple loops going outwards.

What is the size of the leather?
Leather has a 5mm thickness and you’ll need a 3 inch piece for project.
Would this work with simple beading wire, or would it compromise the stability of the leather?
This will probably not work with simple beading wire because the memory wire helps to shape the leather.
