Directions:

  1. Cut chain to 15 inches.
  2. Open jump ring and slide on one end of chain. Close jump ring.
  3. Open another jump ring, slide through jump ring from step 2 and through charm loop. Close jump ring.
  4. Unscrew carabiner clasp and slide through other end of chain.
  5. Wear it wrapped around twice for a wrap bracelet or as a necklace.

Directions:

  1. Fold over a Loop End over one end of the chain. (Refer to THIS blog.)
  2. Slide on the following beads:
    2.2mm TOHO round, 4mm crystal, 3mm TOHO round, 6mm crystal, 3mm TOHO round, 8mm crystal, 3mm TOHO round, 6mm crystal, 3mm TOHO round, 4mm crystal and 2.2mm TOHO round.
  3. Fold over another Loop End to the other end of the chain.
  4. Open oval jump ring, slide on a clasp loop and through one Loop End. Close jump ring.
  5. Open another oval jump ring and slide on other Loop end. Close jump ring.

DIY Leather Fringe Bib Necklace with Deerskin Leather Lace

Directions:

  1. Cut 7 pieces of leather lace at 10 inches.
  2. Cut 6 pieces of leather lace at 7 inches.
  3. Take a 7″ leather and make a lark’s head knot on the bottom bar of the bib necklace. Repeat 2 more times.
  4. Make a lark’s head knot with the 10″ leather, 7 times.
  5. Make a lark’s head knot with the 7″ leather, 3 times.
  6. Slide a gemstone to the middle strand of your leather fringes and make a knot. Repeat outwards, staggering your knots so that your fringes get shorter and shorter. Make sure your knots are where you’d want them to be and then cut off excess leather.
  7. Tie one end of the chain with the side hole of your bib connector with a 3″ piece of leather, twice. Repeat to other side.
  8. Optional, you can cut chain in half to add a clasp. Or cut chain shorter for a shorter length.

This Gemstone Leather Necklace incorporates the classic black and white colors. It is a fun piece for a business pantsuit or a small dinner party. Made with large-hole gemstones and 1mm leather cord, you can make this in fun necklace in minutes!

Directions:

  1. Open 4mm jump ring, slide through loop of clasp and close jump ring. Open another 4mm jump ring, slide through closed ring and close jump ring. Open lobster clasp and clasp onto the closed ring.
  2. Cut a piece of leather at 27 inches.
  3. Slide one end of the leather through a 4mm jump ring in step 1, about 1.5 inch of the way. Make a slip knot. Use pliers to tighten the slip knot before cutting off excess leather end.

4. Slide on the following onto the leather:
3 onyx beads, 5 flat brass beads and 3 onyx beads.
5. Repeat step 3 to other leather end and through other 4mm jump ring from Step 1.

Directions:

  1. Slide pearl onto the headpin and make a larger simple or wrapped loop. Make sure loop can slide on through clasp.
  2. Open jump ring, slide on charm and close jump ring.
  3. Cut chain to 16 inches. Or cut to your preferred length.
  4. Open carabiner clasp by unscrewing clasp, slide on jump ring with charm and pearl drop. Then slide on both ends of your paper clip chain. Close clasp.

Directions:

  1. Slide pendant loop and chain of necklace between the pinch bail.
  2. Pinch the bail down so the prongs are in the loop of the pendant.

    Note: if necklace is too long, open a jump ring and slide off chain end. Cut chain to your preferred length and connect jump ring to new length of chain end.

DIY Porcelain Pineapple Necklace with Alphabet Charm

Summer is a HOT one and Summer means pineapples. Here is a simple DIY necklace with a porcelain pineapple bead and alphabet charms.

What you’ll need:

Directions:

  1. On a headpin, slide on the following and make a simple loop:
    8/0 seed bead, pineapple bead and 8/0 seed bead.
  2. Open a jump ring and slide on pineapple dangle and on chain necklace. Close jump ring.
  3. Open another jump ring, slide on alphabet charm and on chain necklace. Close jump ring.




DIY Delicate Delica Necklace or Wrap Around Bracelet

Today’s project is perfect for Summer because it’s delicate and minimalistic; the right kind of jewelry to not outshine your summer style! Made with only two products, Griffin silk cord (No. 4 cord) and Miyuki 11/0 Delica mix, this project is easy to make for a lazy summer day.

What you’ll need:

  • Griffin silk cord (No. 4 cord) – Item used in necklace A006569
  • Miyuki 11/0 Delica mix – Item used in necklace SB03797

Tools needed:

  • Thin tipped, needle nose pliers
  • OR you can use thin tweezers to make the knots.

Directions:

  1. Unravel your Griffin cord and straighten/smooth the strands to remove kink. (Refer to Silk Cord Blog)
  2. Make a knot at the end of your silk cord, leaving a 1/4 tail. Sew on 4 delica seed beads.
  3. Make a knot 4 inches from the first knot you made. Sew on 8 delicas and make another knot close to the end of your delicas.
  4. Make a knot about 1/2″ from the previous knot. Sew on 8 delicas and make another knot close to the end of your delicas.
  5. Repeat step 4 until you have about 5-6 inches left of your Griffin cord.
  6. Sew through the last delica that you added in the beginning (Step 2). this will act as your slider and create your necklace loop. Pick 3 more delicas and make a knot at the end of your Griffin cord, 1/4″ from to the needle. Cut off needle.

You can wear this wrapped around your necklace two times or wear it as a wrap-around bracelet, using the slider piece to adjust.

You can also shorten the pattern to alter the length of your necklace.




DIY Chrysocolla & Hematite Collar Necklace

Variations of choker and collar necklaces are making a comeback. Here is our version with Chrysocolla gemstones with 2mm Hematite beads. It sits on your collarbone and creates a different and unique kind of statement.

Directions:

  1. Cut beading wire to 24 inches.
  2. Slide a crimp tube and split ring onto the beading wire and loop beading wire back down to create a small loop. Make a crimp with crimping pliers. Cut the small excess wire leaving a 1/4 inch tail.
  3. Slide on the following bead sequence: 5 gemstone and 1 hematite bead. Repeat this sequence 31 times. Then ending with 5 more gemstones. (Note, you can make a long necklace by using a longer piece of beading wire or shorten the sequence for a closer fit necklace/choker.)
  4. Slide on a crimp tube and split ring. Slide beading wire back through crimp tube and a bead or two. Pull wire to keep all your bead in place and crimp your crimp tube. Cut off excess wire.
  5. Open split ring and slide lobster clasp loop through.

Directions:

  1. Slide on a headpin a bead aligner, thread bead and another bead aligner. Make a simple loop, but make it large to slide on straw connector. About 8-10mm around.
  2. Taking a Bead Reamer, one side of your round nose pliers or an awl, poke a hole on your rattan at one tip between the first and second outer layer. Repeat to opposite end of your rattan.
  3. Open bead thread dangle loop and slide through one hole you made in Step 2. Close loop.
  4. Open 8mm jump ring, slide on other hole on rattan connector and through one hole of disc connector. Close jump ring.
  5. Open 6mm jump ring, slide through other hole of disc connector and through both rings on adjustable necklace clasp. Close jump ring.




DIY Peacock Necklace with Acetate Component and Tassel

What you’ll need for necklace:

Directions:

  1. Cut large oval chain to consist of 11 links.
  2. Open 9mm jump ring, slide on tassel and through one hole of acetate connector. Close jump ring.
  3. Open another 9mm jump ring, slide through other hole of acetate, crescent charm and the middle link of large oval chain you cut in Step One. Close jump ring.
  4. Open 6mm jump ring, slide on one end of large oval chain and through one end of rollo chain. Close jump ring.
  5. Repeat step 4 to other chain ends. Note: you can chain the length of your necklace by shortening the rollo chain length.
