What you’ll need for necklace:

Directions:

  1. Cut large oval chain to consist of 11 links.
  2. Open 9mm jump ring, slide on tassel and through one hole of acetate connector. Close jump ring.
  3. Open another 9mm jump ring, slide through other hole of acetate, crescent charm and the middle link of large oval chain you cut in Step One. Close jump ring.
  4. Open 6mm jump ring, slide on one end of large oval chain and through one end of rollo chain. Close jump ring.
  5. Repeat step 4 to other chain ends. Note: you can chain the length of your necklace by shortening the rollo chain length.




Charm Bracelet with Paperclip Chain and Adjustable Sliding Clasp

Hashing out our love for our newer paperclip chain, we’ve make a simple bracelet with dainty charms and adjustable with a sliding clasp.

Directions:

  1. Cut paper clip to chain to consist of 15 links (6 inches).
  2. Open ring on star charm, slide through middle chain link and close ring.
  3. Open jump ring, slide through link two links right from the middle link and slide on moon charm. Close jump ring.
  4. Open jump ring, slide through link two from the left side of the middle link and slide on heart charm. Close jump ring.
  5. Open jump ring from sliding clasp and attach to either ends of the paper clip chain. Close jump ring. Repeat on other end. NOTE: If adjustable clasp is too long, trim chain on each side 1-2 inches.




‘Believe in Love’ Expandable Bracelet

You’ll easily fall in love with this easy-to-make bracelet. Using an expandable bracelet, add fun charms and dangles to the tune of your own design!

  1. Cut your leather with the Sizzix Big Shot, using the 30mm circle die. Cut Two circles.
  2. Use the smallest hole setting on the Leather Hole Punch Pliers to punch a hole on your leather circles.
  3. Open jump ring and slide through the hole on your leather circle and through loop of glass connector. Close jump ring.
  4. Repeat Step 3 with other leather circle.
  5. Open ear wire loop and slide other end of the glass connector and close loop.
  6. Repeat Step 5 with other ear wire and glass connector.

Tangerine Cuff

See how easy it is to making your own sparkling bracelet with a beadable cuff and Swarovski bicone crystals.

What you’ll need:

Directions:

  1. Cut a 4 foot piece of beading thread.
  2. Add a Bead Stopper or sew through a small seed bead twice, leaving a 5 inch tail.
  3. Sew up through the the first hole and pick up a bicone crystal and seed bead.
  4. Sew across the channel to the hole opposite.
  5. Skip a hole and sew up through then next hole. Pick up a bicone crystal and seed bead.
  6. Sew across the channel to the hole opposite.
  7. Keep repeating these step sequence to add a total of 12 bicone crystals to cuff.
  8. Sew through the whole pattern again to secure the pattern.
  9. Tie off ends and cut off excess.

 

Tangerine Drop Earrings

  7. Open loop you made from Step 6 and slide on earwire. Close loop.

What you’ll need:

Directions:

  1. Use alcohol wipes to clean all findings and set aside to dry.
  2. Using one jump ring attach to one ss39 chaton setting. Repeat five more times and set aside.
  3. Using one 1088 ss39 chaton stone glue into one ss39 chaton setting and set aside for 24 hours to dry. Repeat five more times and set aside.
  4. Using two and a half coils of memory wire, make a double loop at one end with Memory Wire Finishing Pliers.
  5. Slide on the following FOUR sections:
    1. TWO 4mm bicones, 6mm bicone, TWO 4mm bicones, Botanical bead, 4mm bicone, Tangerine chaton charm, Botanical bead, TWO 4mm bicones, 6mm bicone, TWO 4mm bicones , THREE metal seed beads,

Using TierraCast Buttons in DIY Jewelry – Tutorial

Launch yourself into this cute trend of button DIY jewelry with TierraCast buttons. We have three projects using TierraCast buttons; two pair of earrings and a lariat necklace.

TierraCast has a large assortment of button components. Of course when it comes to button components, you easily gravitate your DIY mind to making bracelets. Which is the perfect use for them. But we’ve expand our thinking into using buttons as earrings and necklace components. Here are three examples using TierraCast buttons designed by Heidi!

Golden Rosette Button Earrings

There is always room for a pair of tassel earrings in your jewelry stash. Why not make it shine like gold in this pair of Golden Rosette Button Earrings, using TierraCast’s Czech Rosette Button. The shank button makes it easy to hang your golden components. Unlike a typical button with two or four holes in the center, a shank has a protrusion in the back of the button with a hole so that when sewn on fabric, there is space allowed for the fabric to sit behind.

Directions:

  1. Open eyepin loop, slide on chain tassel and close loop.
  2. Slide on a TierraCast Pamada bead and make a simple loop.
  3. Open a jump ring, slide on loop from bead dangle from Step 2 and through shank hole of button. Close jump ring.
  4. Open another jump ring and slide through loop of ear wire and through shank hold of button. Close jump ring.
  5. Repeat all steps for other earring.

Copper Cluster Button Earrings

In this pair of earrings, the button acts as a focal link piece. It’s designed with fringe chain tassels with embellished ends.

Directions:

  1. Cut three rollo chain with 8 links, 13 links and 22 links.
  2. Open small jump ring, slide on leaf charm and the 22 link chain. Close jump ring. Open another small loop and attach to other end of chain.
  3. On a head pin slide on melon bead, cube bead and another melon bead. Make a simple loop. Make another for a total of two.
  4. Open loop of cube dangle from Step 3 and slide on an 8 link chain. Close loop. Open another small loop and attach to other end of chain.
  5. Open loop of cube dangle from Step 3 and slide on an 13 link chain. Close loop. Open another small loop and attach to other end of chain.
  6. Open large jump ring and slide through button. Also slide jump ring from Step 2, then Step 5 and then Step 4. Close jump ring.
  7. Open small jump ring, slide on large jump ring from Step 6 and through loop of ear wire. Close jump ring.
  8. Repeat all steps for other earring.

Charming Lariat Button Necklace

Design this lariat necklace with a button connecting your chain around. Dangle your ends with a sequence of TierraCast bead links and/or charm.

Directions:

  1. Open small jump ring and slide on charm and loop of eyepin. Close jump ring.
  2. On eyepin, slide on a silver bead and make a simple loop.
  3. Open loop made from step 2 and slide on an eyepin loop.
  4. On this eyepin, slide on another silver bead and make a simple loop.
  5. Open loop made from step 4 and slide on one end of your chain. Close loop.
  6. Feed chain through one hole of your TierraCast button.
  7. Open large jump ring, slide on other end of chain and through other hole of the TierraCast button. Close jump ring.

Instructions:

  1. With the instant pendant you easily unscrew the bottom piece and slide on the following: Silver bead, pink bead, flower bead, pink bead and silver bead.
  2. Screw back on the bottom piece.
  3. Unclasp your necklace chain and slide chain through top loop of your instant pendant. Clasp necklace chain.
  4. Open jump ring and slide on dangle and through bottom loop of the instant pendant. Close jump ring.

Pretty Pink Leather Earrings

Instructions:

  1. Cut 2 pieces of leather at 3 inches.
  2. Slide pink bead, silver bead and pink bead on a leather piece.
  3. Take both ends of your leather and lay on crimp end. Fold both sides of crimp ends over the leather ends.
  4. Open ear wire loop, slide on loop of crimp end and close loop.
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for other earring.
