  1. After any paint job, I seal the paint. In the case of jewelry, not so much to keep paint from rubbing off, on body or clothes, but to protect the paint job. I use a spray sealer that comes in a choice of Matte or Gloss finish, using one or several light coats If I wanted a ‘natural’ look, I’d try the Matte first. If I were looking for a shinny sparklie sheen, I’d use Gloss. You could first try experimenting on scrap pieces of wood to see how the products work together and to get the look you want. Remember, you can always sand it all off, down to the wood and start again, if you’re not happy with your first attempt, or the next one
