Leather & Tube Bead Necklace with Tutorial -

Check out how we created leather tube links with our popular curved tube beads and round braided leather cord.

Featured in our Totally Tube(ular) Bead trend, we looped round leather through our popular curve tube beads and linked them to create this modern and trendy necklace. You can certainly use the same link to create earrings.

Necklace Tutorial

Step One: Gather your Round Leather, Tube Beads and Super New Glue.

Step Two: Cut your Leather cord to 3.5 Inches. Cut 12 pieces.

Step Three: Squeeze 2-3 drops into your tube beads and swirl the liquid inside.

Step Four: Feed your leather ends into both ends of the tube bead and hold in this position for a few seconds until it adheres.

Step Five: Repeat Steps 3 & 4, while linking the previous link you’ve done. Make sure to let glue dry and adhere before adding your next link. Repeat until you’ve linked on 10 links.

Step Six: Repeat Steps 3 & 4, while linking on last link you’ve done AND bail piece. Let dry and repeat to the other end of your links for the last leather and tube bead.

Step Seven: Open jump rings and attach a 16″-24″ chain to your bail loops. NOTE: After glue has dried, you may need to curve your leather cords to create an oval shape. by pinching the sides.

23x5mm (Z004569 & Z004571) – 3 inches of 4mm round leather cord
50x3mm ( A014101 & A014097 & A014105) – 5 Inches of 2mm round leather
26x3mm (A014099 & A007346 & A014103) – 3 inches of 2mm round leather
10x2mm (Z004304) – 1 1/8 Inches of 1mm round leather – a bit more difficult due to it’s small size.
